The ability of the corporate media to define the mainstream view , or the concensus view, is central to the ability of the oligarchy to control the public. It is a case of; there shall only be one view heard and that view will be theirs.
Where other points of view exist on matters of impotance to the oligarchy they are ignored; but if those points of view are perceived to be gaining traction then out will come the corporate media 'attack dogs' to stigmatise those differing points of view as 'conspiracy theories', which are then attacked by way of ridicule or demonizeation

A 'conspiracy theory' then is a point of view which differs significantly from the mainstream view, as defined by the corporate media, on a matter of impotance, and which is perceived to potentially threaten the ability of the the corporate media to continue to define the maintream view on that issue..

On the radio this morning it was stated that there are one thousand trained personnel throughout the country. I had only just woken up but I thought that it was said by David Milliband. This item revealed itself this morning. Several days ago I spent time looking into questions that arose out of one of akrotiri's posts in the David Kelly Thread. Here and there in the replies of different news items people mentioned fake gold bars salted with tungsten. Some said that the gold bars were hollowed out and filled with cheap tungsten because it has roughly the same density as gold making it relatively undetectable. There are tests that can be made to reveal the true make up of the bar. My interest was in how they are made because there is a vast difference between the melting points of the two metals and using ground tungsten (If that is possible) to fill a hollowed out gold bar isn't practical and in any case the density of the tungsten wouldn’t be the same.

In the big world out there banks have been taken on to the books of the sovereign countries, of which they find themselves in. It seems that the world has been shaken and each individual bank has found a place to hang out and onto, and now the responsibility for those banks lay with those governments. In Ireland for example the banks are too heavy, and it has fallen on the government to help, but the government is not strong enough to keep them from falling. So it seems that the government of Ireland will need to go and ask the EU for some of that trillion dollar bailout money, that Greece got.

But all the countries of the world will be worrying about this Bank thing, because they know that they don’t have the money. Then we bump into this ....do we do more stimulus and bailing out banks sort of stuff again, which is getting the politicians into trouble, and getting them unelected, or do we do this austerity thing, If we look at places such as Ireland where it hasn’t worked and all it seems to have done is cause large quantities of pain and of course the politicians will find themselves unelected when the time comes.

So it’s a really big problem for these sovereign nations having these banks falling on them, governments and politicians know all about faith and what their standing is in the world, and they know that they don’t really know what money is, and how the banking system works, It just seems some sort of crazy miracle to them that it works at all.

They will put everything they have got, to hold those banks up but unfortunately some of the banks, have been so wild that they will crush their own sovereign countries.

On the other hand some governments like Greece, have been so wild that they have crushed themselves, and are now falling back on the bigger organisation, in this case the EU. But the whole thing is the.......... them.........the big authority in the world type of thing, trying to keep this faith thing together, and nobody is to be the first one to allow these restructurings these senior bond haircuts, these defaults, because defaults would probably be like an avalanche and before they knew it, it would be completely out of control, or at least out of the as semblance of control that it looks like they have got at the moment.

But it is becoming increasingly clear that they don’t have control of it either.....it is just building up and up and is only a matter of time before it comes down upon them........and of course us.
