LIGHTBULBS AND THE NANNY STATE !

From 1st September 2009 it will become ILLEGAL to import conventional light bulbs in to the EU. Ordinary light bulbs will all be replaced by new light bulbs which, the LUNATICS of the New World Order tell us, will save lots of power.

Q. Great ! So that means our electricity bills will come down, right ?

A. No way ! The electricity bills will remain the same. It’s simply that the LUNATICS want to control us all.

Q. So, what’s the problem ?

A. Well, the new light bulbs use less power than the old ones. They don’t work as well as the old bulbs (as everyone knows) but, hey, we all want to combat ‘global warming’, right ? We all love the Nanny State. So, your electricity bills will remain the same and you now get less light. Great, yes ? The extra money we pay goes in to more research etc. And that’s not all. The new replacement bulbs contain Mercury. Now, Mercury, by the way, is a deadly poison. But this is OK because we will only be poisoned in small doses.

Q. Great ! So what happens if we accidently break one of these new bulbs ?

A. No problem. Our great government already have the answer for us. The Department of Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has already issued advice for disposing of any new broken light bulb. Here it is -(free of charge) -

Vacate the room and ventilate it for at least 15 minutes. Do not use a vacuum cleaner, but clean up using rubber gloves and aim to avoid creating and inhaling airborne dust. Sweep up all particles and glass fragments and place in a plastic bag. Wipe the area with a damp cloth, then add that to the bag and seal it. Mercury is hazardous waste and the bag should not be disposed of in the bin. All local councils have an obligation to make arrangements for the disposal of hazardous household waste.

So, all you need to do is ring up your local council and get an application form for them to take away your hazardous waste. Shouldn’t take you more than a few weeks to get one !

And that’s not all.

It is now your civic duty to report any shop which continues to sell ordinary light bulbs after the 1st September. So get on the phone and let’s all start reporting on each other !! LOL !!!

My only question is this -

How many LUNATICS does it take to change a light bulb ?

Just goes to show how far the Oligarchs are prepared to go in order to rule and control every detail of our lives.
Reminds me of pictures I had from history lessons about ancient Egypt where thousands of slaves were simply farmed for the Pharaohs.

I like the way that the new bulbs work with the laminate wood flooring that I have, but the older bulbs really give a warmer sort of environment. I don't see why something like this would be illegal.
I can still buy the old bulbs in my corner shop?

Once their stock of 100watt bubls is finished they will not be able to import any more. The big supermarkets agreed to stop stocking ages ago and you can now only get 60 watt or less but there is a date by which they are not going to sell 60 watt and they are running down stocks - either that, or everyone is stocking up at home! My local supermarket frequently has mega cheap deals to induce people to buy the new bulbs.
The new bulbs dont last that long! THANX!
Anyone know where i can buy real light bulbs online?
the new bulbs dont work with dimmer controls and theres no heavy duty versions that will work under arduous conditions like cold temperatures and spiky mains supply.
